Devorah Heitner, Ph.D.

Devorah Heitner, Ph.D., is the author of Growing Up in Public: Coming of Age in a Digital World (2023). Her previous book, Screenwise: Helping Kids Thrive (and Survive) in Their Digital World, was an Amazon bestseller. She has spoken all over the world about kids in the digital age and her writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN Opinion, and Fast Company, among others. Dr. Heitner earned a Ph.D. in Media/Technology and Society from Northwestern University and lives with her family including her awesome teenager, her lovely spouse and and adorable cat in Chicagoland.
